#24
I just noticed today that my UID on DKos is 24. I was reading through a diary where people were making an issue of such things and, while I really don't care a whit, I found it amusing that I was the 24th person (a mere 21 people beyond Kos) to sign up on that site. But I really haven't done much with my seniority there. I should be an elder statesman after all this time and yet, well, I'm still just a dabbler.
Life keeps getting in the way of my blogging. I'll try to do better in 2007 (but I have a baby girl on the way and I'm directing 30 students in A Midsummer Night's Dream, so I make no promises of prolific punditry).

HAPPY MERRY NODWISH!
Once again that time of year has arrived when the days shrink and the nights grow and Wishy, the NODWISH owl, gives up his hunt of small rodents to bring good cheer to the masses of people who need a reason to celebrate that has nothing to do with the birth of a deity that is just a coopted Saturnalia designed to make pagans think they should worship someone else.
So here's hoping Wishy brings you everything you want this year and gives a lot of good cheer to soldiers soldiering where they ought not to be and refugees from a long past storm who should be at home to welcome Wishy with nog and acorns but are not.
Be good to one another and when the owl stops by, don't shush him away. He just wants to say hello.
